Penguins on Paulet Island!

Just this afternoon we took off for Paulet Island which is in the Weddell Sea. There were hundreds of huge beautiful icebergs everywhere. The captain had to be careful with the ship but we were able to land on Paulet Island and do a quick hike around. We mostly saw Adelie penguins on this island, but also saw several Fur and Weddell seals. It was amazing to see such a huge spot and literally every square inch was taken up by nesting penguins!

I am trying to upload pictures. Because the connection here is not so good, I am making the file size as small as possible and then uploading them. I am taking Hundreds of pictures and look forward to sharing.

Watch for tomorrow – there is a chance to go swimming!
